Course Description
Intermediate I
Contents: Spending holidays and vacations, facts about Slovenia, trips around Slovenia, hotel services, memories of school, education system, language learning, description of work and work experience, workplace communication, employment of foreigners in Slovenia, internet, expressing opinions, newspaper news, SMS messages, writing more advanced e-mails. Grammar: Verbal aspect, infinitive and infinitive case, reinforcing cases, word order in past and future tense, conjunctions, personal pronouns, modal expressions, conditional.
Intermediate II
Contents: Language learning, sports and sports fans, cooking and recipes, domestic animals, writing and reading more advanced texts. Grammar: New verbs and reinforcement of verbs, reinforcing cases, word order in past and future tense, conjunctions, personal pronouns, modal expressions, conditional.
Intermediate III
Contents: Culture, entertainment electronics, volunteering, writing, and reading more advanced texts. Grammar: Imperative, adverbs of place, peculiarities of feminine gender nouns, peculiarities of neuter gender nouns, agreement of the numeral with the noun and with the verb, enclitics, conjunctions, interrogative and demonstrative pronouns, demonstrative pronoun, negative pronoun, indefinite pronoun, modal expression.
After intermediate levels I, II, III, candidates are qualified for exams at the BASIC LEVEL (A2B1).
Lecturer Vera Šeško is a Slovenian language professor with 30 years of experience in educating both young people and adults. After completing her studies in Slovenian at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Arts, she began working at a vocational high school, and for some time, she also taught at a grammar school, while simultaneously teaching Slovenian to foreigners in group and individual settings. In addition to being naturally suited for pedagogical work and having an exceptional sense for people, she has also gained extensive editorial experience through teaching. According to feedback from our participants in Slovenian courses for foreigners, she is a master of her profession.
